Welcome to Our Blog Page

Pull up a seat and step into our world at the Brook Green. This is where we share stories, inspiration, and a little of what makes our pub with rooms so special.

Just a short stroll from the iconic Hammersmith Apollo and Riverside Studios, our pub with rooms is a true local gem, where great food, good company, and a relaxed neighbourhood spirit come together. Through this blog, we’ll take you beyond the bar to meet the people, passions, and flavours that bring Brook Green to life.

From sneak peeks of our seasonal menus and updates on what’s happening nearby, think of this as your inside guide to life at The Brook Green. Sit back, get comfortable, and enjoy the read.

Brook by name, Boulogne by nature

Nestled between Hammersmith and Shepherd’s Bush, Brook Green is a pocket of London with a village soul, twinned, fittingly, with Boulogne-Billancourt, our chic counterpart across the Channel.

Think leafy streets, lively cafés, artisan delis, and wine bars humming with French and Italian flair. And right on the corner of Shepherd’s Bush Road, you’ll find us, a local landmark since 1886.

Once a Victorian coach house, The Brook has always welcomed travellers. Today, our pub with rooms blends London character with a knowing continental nod. Downstairs, glasses clink and seasonal dishes fill the air – upstairs, 17 restful rooms promise calm, comfort, and a touch of luxury, the perfect retreat after a night at the Hammersmith Apollo or Riverside Studios.

With cloud-soft Hypnos beds, indulgent Bramley toiletries, and an honesty bar stocked for late-night nibbles, there’s every reason to stay a little longer.

Whether you’re here for a gig, a getaway, or a glass of something ‘bien’, The Brook offers a slice of Brook Green life with a dash of Boulogne charm.

A cut above in Game

It was a wild night at The Brook, quite literally. Our Game Butchery Masterclass & Dinner brought a taste of the countryside to Brook Green, as we celebrated the best of British game with Chris Sole, master game butcher and all-round culinary craftsman.

Chris kicked off the evening with an introduction to game and the rhythm of the shooting season, blending knowledge with humour and a few behind-the-scenes tales from the field. Then came the showstopper – a live demonstration where Chris expertly broke down a roe deer, sharing tips, tricks, and the kind of precision that comes only from true mastery.

But it wasn’t all about the meat. Each course of the evening’s seasonal game-inspired dinner was beautifully paired with wines chosen and introduced by Achille Ketelsen of Berkmann Wines. From rich reds to indulgent pudding wines, every glass elevated the flavours and brought a touch of continental finesse to the feast.

When the glasses were empty and the stories spent, a few clever guests simply wandered upstairs, because why go home when comfort’s just a staircase away?
